The Extended Shoreline tour launches from a beautiful cove and has all the same inclusions of our popular Scenic Shoreline Tour such as cliffs and impressive lakefront, but it also offers more nature, wildlife, and the untouched beauty of Lake Tahoe. You have the opportunity to explore sights along the shoreline as well as up to 75 feet below the surface!

Inclusions and Amenities

This tour includes delivery, set-up, life jackets, paddles, and basic on-beach instruction prior to the start of your tour. Amenities include small coolers with complimentary waters and granola bars as well as dry bags for the items you don’t want to get wet. Your tour equipment includes:

  • USCG approved life preserver
  • I Spy wildlife ID cards

  • Company age and weight restrictions apply. No children under 5 years of age are permitted on this tour. Total combined weight for each boat must not exceed 375 pounds.

    What to Wear
    We recommend wearing light layers as well as shoes that can be removed easily. Hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen are highly recommended. Swimsuits are optional but not required. Please note: Footwear is prohibited in the clear kayaks with the exception of rubber and neoprene water shoes.

    • Towel (optional)
    • Reusable water bottles are encouraged!

    • Light jacket for 8 a.m. start time
    • Camera!

    Please note: While our guests do tend to stay fairly dry during this experience, all participants and belongings are subject to getting wet. Clearly Tahoe is not responsible for any lost or damaged items. Electronics and valuables should be left in a safe place.

  • Cave Rock State Park and Boat Launch

    The Scenic Shoreline Tour is scheduled to launch from Cave Rock Park in Glenbrook, NV. Tour location may be changed in the event of wind, severe weather, or other seasonal factors. Any changes are communicated via email with a possible phone confirmation within 24 hours of scheduled tour.

    You have access to onsite parking, a sandy beach for swimming, a picnic area, and restroom facilities. You can also take advantage of a short scenic hike nearby.

    Directions

    From South Lake Tahoe:

    1. Take Route 50 E out of South Lake Tahoe (past the casinos). Stay on road 10-15 minutes.
    2. When you see the tunnel approach, slow down and make a left into the Cave Rock State Park and boat launch area (right before the tunnel).

    From North Lake Tahoe:

    1. Follow the east shore south toward South Lake Tahoe.
    2. When you see the tunnel approach, slow down and make a left into the Cave Rock State Park and boat launch area (right before the tunnel).

    Please Note: On weekends or for activities starting after 10 a.m., street parking is recommended. (There is still a park entry fee for walk-in or drop off-guests.)

    Once you enter the park, you can meet your guide on the little sandy beach off to the left. It is opposite the boat launch.

    Park Fees:

    Guests are responsible for transportation to and from the designated tour site, any park entry fees, and/or fees associated with parking.

    Cave Rock State Park fee: $10/12 per car (NV residents/non-resident). Walk-in fee: $2 per person.
