About Us

At Clearly Tahoe, we take pride in our highly trained and knowledgable staff, high safety standards, and excellent customer service!

We pay very close attention to the wind and weather when scheduling your clear kayak experience and provide a full refund in the event of any cancellation due to wind or unfavorable weather conditions.

Our very small guide-to-guest ratio ensures a great quality experience for everyone. Take your time, relax, and enjoy the full surroundings of Lake Tahoe both along the shoreline and below the surface!

All of our tours and rentals include delivery, set-up, life jackets, paddles, and basic on-beach instruction.

No experience is necessary. Children 5 and over are welcome on any of our normal clear kayak rentals and tours.

Our Team

Kelsey Weist Managing Partner, Lead Guide, and Special Events

Bio: Kelsey grew up kayaking, rafting, and surfing on the East Coast. She paddled competitively before moving to Lake Tahoe to work for Clearly Tahoe. As an avid scuba diver, she loves to share the underwater world with all of our guests through this unique clear kayak experience!

Favorite thing about Lake Tahoe: Exploring and enjoying nature. I love to kayak in my free time (with my dog Bodhi, of course) and look forward to doing the Watertrail this fall. When I’m not on the water, I could be found rock climbing, hiking, or traveling.

Keeping Tahoe Clear

The clarity of Lake Tahoe is very important to us, our residents, and the many visitors traveling to Lake Tahoe each year.

While the clarity was once measured at more than 100 feet of visibility, today is it has stabilized at just about 65 feet.

At Clearly Tahoe, we strive to educate ourselves as well as our guests about the pollutants and invasive species affecting the clarity of Lake Tahoe. All of our guides are Eyes on the Lake certified and attempt to educate all of our guests through each kayak tour.

Join us on a guided clear kayak tour or rental to learn how you can help keep Tahoe clear! Help us support the League to Save Lake Tahoe through their Eyes on the Lake Program while enjoying your time on the water!

For every boat we place on the water, Clearly Tahoe makes a donation to the League to Save Lake Tahoe. Join one of our clear kayak tours or rentals and receive a Keep Tahoe Blue Sticker as a sign of your support through us.
