Job description
Assistant Shop Manager helps oversee all day-to-day operations at our Clearly Tahoe shops. Assistant Sales Manager will oversee coordination of daily activity operations, guest outfitting, shuttle transportation and follow-through. Our Assistant Shop Manager will be responsible for helping ensure shop ambiance remains clean, professional, and organized. Our Assistant Shop Manager will work between all Clearly Tahoe shop locations to help ensure uniformity. Our Assistant Sales Manager will help oversee all shop staff and other employees stationed to work from Clearly Tahoe shop location. Assistant Shop Manager will help transport merchandise, marketing materials and supplies between locations, oversee ordering needs and record lost or damaged items. Assistant Shop Manager will help oversee orders and will ensure any missing or damaged items are recorded rectified. Assistant Shop Manager may assist with inventory audits, seasonal inventory rotation and promotional events. Assistant shop manager will be responsible to training oversight for all employees trained to work in shop locations. Assistant Shop Manager will help communicate and coordinate with employees on a day-to-day basis. Assistant Shop Manager may help with reservation inquiries and guide reservation team with general questions. Assistant Shop Manager will be expected to help address incidents, resolve problems and report daily to management on general operation needs.

About Clearly Tahoe
Clearly Tahoe is a full-service recreational company in the Lake Tahoe area that specializes in guided tours and rentals on both land and water. We currently feature guided tours from 5 different Lake Tahoe locations, operate 1 rental concession on Lake Tahoe and 2 adventure-themed retail shops in the Tahoe basin. In addition to our popular tours in completely transparent kayaks, Clearly Tahoe also offers on-site rentals from the Sand Harbor Nevada State Park, hiking, biking and snowshoe tours during the off-season. Our sister location based out of California offers 2 additional tour locations and guided excursions that depart from our 46-foot tri-toon, the Clearly Explorer. With a team of more than 60 employees, Clearly Tahoe offers a variety of both seasonal and year-round positions, in-house training, and growth opportunities.

Work Environment
Assistant Shop Manager will be expected to work predominately at our Incline Village Shop during the summer months but may alter default locations in the off-season. Our Assistant Shop Manager will be expected to fill in for essential roles when activities are in session and other shop-related tasks when tours are not in session. Assistant Shop Manager may drive shuttles, work behind the counter or even in the reservation office from time to time if necessary.

Schedule
Assistant Shop Manager will be expected to work a 5-day work week by default with longer days when tours are in session and shorter days when activities are not booked, cancelled or unavailable. Shifts may differ and will be subject to specific task worked each day.
Primary Responsibilities

Qualifications;

  • 21 Years or Older
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Class B (preferred)
  • Clean Driving Record
  • Must be fluent in English. Bilingual (preferred)
  • 5+ Years Customer Service Experience.
  • 2+ Years Sales Experience
  • 2+ Years Commercial Driving Experience
  • Experience with Square for Retail
  • Experience with Fareharbor for Activities

License/Certification:

  • American Red Cross First Aid/CPR

Job Duties;

  • Help oversee day to day operations.
  • Ensure all outfitting equipment, supplies and amenities are clean, organized and stocked as necessary.
  • Help coordinate purchase and re-stock of supplies for both sales and activities positions operating from the shop location.
  • Help ensure shuttles are in clean and working order.
  • Identify staffing needs within the Sales Team.
  • Communicate with Sales Manager to address team performance and needs.
  • Help train employees scheduled to work from shop locations including shuttle operators.
  • Help solicit new artisans and vendors for the shops.
  • Help vet new products.
  • Maintain relationships with artists and vendors.
  • Oversee new products/vendors and purchasing activity.
  • Help oversee and delegate routine inventory checks.
  • Help create plan to minimize theft and damage.
  • Train sales team on products, vendors and sales techniques to improve performance.
  • Ensure emergency protocols are in place for theft and incidents.
  • Assist with customer disputes and complaints.
  • Work with Marketing Team to determine promotions and plans to drive sales to necessary revenue streams.
  • Help stage shop and models for photo shoots.
  • Attend local and community based marketing activities.
  • Help coordinate events.
  • Attend company-wide promotional events.
  • Assist with distribution of flyers and marketing materials.
  • Help promote Clearly Tahoe as necessary.
  • Review Weekly Sales Reports from in person sales locations for accuracy and input into master record.
  • Oversee movement of cash from various locations.
  • Submit monthly expense reports (if applicable)
  • Submit monthly sales reports for various revenue streams.
  • Meet with Management Team to discuss company-wide announcements, goals and changes.
  • Attend local Sales Meetings as necessary.
  • Help with other company-operational needs as necessary and when available to sustain daily operations.
  • Assist with emergencies in any department if necessary.

Job Type: Full-Time/Year-Round

Compensation/Salary:
Training Rate: $14.00/hour (Nevada)
Starting Rate: $42,000.00
Long Term Rate Range: $42,000.00 – 54,080.00
