  • Guided Clear Kayak Tour: Enjoy a 1.5 hour journey through beautiful coves and take a look at the luxurious estates and the iconic Cave Rock as you paddle along the shoreline. This full-service guided clear kayak tour takes place in completely transparent kayaks, allowing you to see large granite boulders below the surface of the water.
  • Our Only Pet Friendly Experience: Small, well-behaved dogs under 30 lbs are welcome to accompany adults 18+ on this experience. Only one dog per kayak is permitted. Pet policies apply.

Single Kayaks

Single Kayaks will accommodate one participant. Guest weight and belongings must not exceed 375lbs.

Double Kayaks

Double Kayaks can accommodate up to 2 participants. Combined weight must not exceed 375lbs.

Activity Description

Join us for our original and most diverse clear kayak experience — the Scenic Shoreline Tour. Guests on this tour will have the opportunity to explore beautiful coves that glisten with pyrite (fool’s gold) as it creates a magical shimmer on the lake bed. The clear kayaks offer a front row seat to Lake Tahoe’s legendary water clarity with some views reaching as far down as 65 ft! As you paddle you will pass magnificent rock formations that reflect the lake’s rich geological and cultural history, including the famous Cave Rock.  Across the lake, guests will have a panoramic view of the Sierra Nevada mountains and Mount Tallac on the horizon, as closer stretches of shoreline showcase impressive lake front estates. 

 

 

The Scenic Shoreline Tour is perfect for guests seeking a deeper connection to Lake Tahoe’s natural beauty, geology, and history. This tour is highly recommended for those who seek an informative experience and wish to explore history and the geological aspects of Lake Tahoe. The best recommended time to schedule this tour is early morning when the water is calm and glassy. While this tour is open to beginners, the level of difficulty is intermediate as guests are required to paddle a further distance and may encounter less than favorable conditions from time to time. It is highly recommended that guests are prepared to paddle independently, or, for more of a leisurely paddle, choose to share a boat with a partner.

There will be complimentary shuttle transportation for this activity. All shuttles are scheduled to depart from our South Clearly Tahoe Shop in Zephyr Cove, NV. Guests must arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled activity for check in.
