Inspired by a passion for scuba diving, adventure, and sharing unique experiences with friends, family, and strangers alike, partners Geoffrey Miller and Kelsey Weist founded Clearly Tahoe in June of 2016 with the goal of changing the recreational tourism industry as we know it.

Their vision was to create a way for newcomers to experience and fall in love with the outdoors through carefully curated adventures that combined exploration, accessibility, safety, and full-service guidance. They believed that outdoor recreation should feel welcoming and attainable for everyone, regardless of age, experience level, or background. By removing many of the barriers that often prevent people from getting outside, Clearly Tahoe created experiences that allow guests to comfortably and confidently immerse themselves in the beauty of Lake Tahoe.

As the company grew, so did its mission. Beyond creating unforgettable experiences on the water, Clearly Tahoe was founded with a deeper purpose to help shape a more sustainable and community-driven tourism industry in Lake Tahoe by creating meaningful jobs in outdoor recreation and building partnerships with local businesses that strengthen the region year-round.

By providing guests with expert instruction, thoughtfully planned experiences, and all of the equipment needed for their time on the water, Clearly Tahoe opened the door for a wider range of ages and skill levels to safely enjoy the beauty and adventure of Lake Tahoe. That same commitment to accessibility and hospitality extends beyond the tours themselves. Through collaboration with local business partners, the company works to help close the seasonal tourism gap by connecting visitors with local resources, travel recommendations, safety information, and off-season experiences that support both the community and the visitor experience alike.
