Description:
This 1.5 hour clear kayak tour offers guests a tranquil paddle along South Lake Tahoe’s frosted shoreline. After the aspens have shed their seasonal foliage the 150 year-old second-growth Sierra Nevada forest becomes the star of the show, towering along the still and peaceful shoreline. After a winter snowfall these treetops and surrounding historic settlements glitter above Lake Tahoe’s turquoise shoreline. With impressive mountains and ski resorts encompassing the entire lake and a front row view of Mount Tallac’s snowcapped peak guests can find themselves in what feels like a life size snow globe. Lake Tahoe’s clarity levels peak during winter months and the fun of the clear kayaks below only add to this sensation. Learn about the influence that seasonal changes bring to the Lake Tahoe Basin as it’s residents, wildlife, and even the lake itself adapt to survive and thrive during the high Sierra winter.
Clearly Tahoe provides everything our guests should need during their time on the water including but not limited to small coolers with complimentary water and granola bars, USCG approved PFDs and dry bags.
