As the sky fades to dusk and paints the surroundings in warm, golden hues, your guide will lead you on a gentle paddle along the shoreline in a fully transparent, LED-lit kayak. As twilight settles over the lake, guests may be lucky enough to spot birds and other wildlife as they begin to settle in for the night. Toward the end of the experience, the LED kayaks become more vibrant—illuminating the water with a soft, glowing light. This tour offers a magical and memorable experience for families, beginners, and anyone seeking a peaceful evening on the water without staying out too late.

 

 

The LED Glow Clear Kayak Tour is ideal for families with young children, beginners, or anyone looking for a peaceful and easy paddle that doesn’t go too late into the evening. Departing at dusk—before full darkness—this tour offers a relaxed and ambient atmosphere with warmer temperatures and the chance to see Lake Tahoe’s sky shift from golden hour to nightfall. While you won’t see the sun set or the lake’s iconic clear blue water, guests will enjoy glowing LED kayaks, gentle shoreline paddling, and a higher likelihood of spotting local wildlife as the day winds down. This tour is suitable for ages 5 and up and includes insights into Tahoe’s ecosystems and natural features. Please note that wildlife sightings are not guaranteed, and the tour does not include views of the rocky shoreline.
