Paddle through the calm marshes of the Truckee River in a classic-style canoe while learning about local wildlife, plants, and the lake’s unique ecosystem. Perfect for small families and nature lovers, this gentle afternoon tour offers a chance to spot birds, beavers, and maybe even coyotes during the golden hour before sunset. 

 

 

Get ready for an immersive outdoor experience that’s perfect for small families, couples, and groups of two or more! The Eco Canoe Tour departs from Tahoe Keys Marina in South Lake Tahoe and offers a leisurely paddle through the scenic marshlands and upper Truckee River. While the water on this route isn’t completely clear, guests will enjoy a close-up view of Lake Tahoe’s vibrant wetland ecosystem, including native plants and a variety of wildlife such as birds—and with a bit of luck, beavers or even coyotes. Our canoes are wider and more stable than traditional models, comfortably seating 2 to 3 participants. This tour is suited for nature-lovers as every trip offers something new and surprising as you explore the quieter, wilder side of Lake Tahoe.
